Valentines Day

I know this was a really long time ago but in case you care here are some of the festivities. Alan had to work late so I made a fancy dinner, went to the dollar store and purchased some of the essential romantic tools: rose petals, champange glasses, sparkling cider, candle sticks, table cloth (very important). I ran home to get meat because Alan wanted steak in the mean time, I had my little brothers and sisters cut out hearts out of colored construction paper. When I got home, I wrote little sayings on each of the hearts and the kids tied them up with thread. I got home and hung them up from the celing and had everything ready for Alan to come home. He was shocked. It was really cheezy but on a budget you have to be creative. We loved it Alan kept the hearts up for weeks so I think it was a success.
